Food Pantry

Does your family need food to get through the month?  Do you need a way to follow Jesus’ example and provide food for others? Our Food Pantry brings people together to meet both these needs. Find out how you can get food and how you can serve as a Food Pantry volunteer.

On the second Friday of the month, the third Saturday of the month and the Friday preceding it, and on the fourth Saturday of the month from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. our Food Pantry, which can be reached from the parking lot in the back of the Church Office Building, is open for public distribution. Clients have the opportunity to choose the refrigerated, frozen, and non-perishable food items they prefer for their families.  Volunteers assist them as they pack their bags and load their cars. Food Pantry volunteers also pack grocery bags once a month for Meals on Wheels clients and for residents at two senior centers, the Moravian Houses and Holy Family Apartments.

Volunteers meet their own need to serve others by unloading food from Second Harvest, cleaning and stocking the pantry shelves, keeping records, packing grocery bags, and greeting and assisting clients with warmth. If you are interested in joining our friendly volunteers, contact Coordinator Dave Wickmann through the church office..
