Currents Capital Campaign

For over 280 years, the Moravian Church in Bethlehem has been sustained by the commitment and devotion of its people. Through vision and dedication, our spiritual ancestors built an extraordinary complex of buildings, entrusting us with the safekeeping of an historic legacy. Ours is the task of maintenance and enhancement to meet the growing needs of today and the anticipated needs of the future. Thus, it is with a great sense of expectation and excitement that the members and friends of Central Moravian Church will undertake the installation of a new Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning system.

The new system, a variable refrigerant flow or VRF, is energy efficient and fully electric. It will heat, cool, and ventilate the Sanctuary with outside air. While the operation of the new system will be efficient, environmentally conscious, and relatively inexpensive, the up-front costs are just under $2 Million. In a focused and strategic plan to raise as much of the associated costs as possible, we are undertaking a philanthropic objective of $1.6 million through a capital campaign, Currents.

Currents is groundbreaking both in foresight and scope. Our beloved historical sanctuary will receive an advanced HVAC system in keeping with our dedication to sound stewardship and care for the health of the environment. Our congregation is committed to leading by example in our community, among other historic sites, and for future generations.

Join us in supporting this extraordinary effort. We ask that you consider a financial pledge that will greatly impact the Church, the congregation, and the community.

You may either use the pledge sheet or contact the church office at 610-866-5661 x 213 to discuss your gift.
