Food Pantry
On Sunday, September 6 (rain date, September 13th), you have another opportunity to take care of your neighbors in need. Thanks to food from Second Harvest and your own generous food donations, we have been able to serve the needs of our Food Pantry clients. We have seen an increase of 33% in the number of people coming for food and a 50% increase in the number of clients registered. Please drive by the church office building at 73 West Church Street between 1 – 3 p.m. every first Sunday of the month and bring us your non-perishable food items.
We can especially use 12 oz cans of coffee, tea, beans dried or canned of any color, rice in 1 or 2 lb bags, canned fruit and veggies, boxed milk that does not need refrigeration, evaporated milk, pasta sauce, taco sauce, sugar in 4 or 5 lb bags, and anything else you would like to contribute including household items like soap, dish detergent, and laundry detergent.
Plastic Bag Recycling Continues
When you bring your donations for the Food Pantry on Sept. 6th between 1 and 3 p.m., you can also bring in your plastic bags and wrappers for our TREX plastic recycling challenge. Now is your chance to empty your closets, basements, porches, and car trunks of all your recyclable plastic bags and do your part to Care for Creation!
