Congregational Retreat – “When Simplicity We Cherish”
We often talk about a simpler life, but how do we apply that to particular parts of our daily life? Join us for a time to simplify and to be away on retreat, enjoying times of quiet and conversation and a program that focuses around the theme and book “Simpler Living, Compassionate Life”. Our Congregational Retreat is open to all on Wednesday, September 24 (registration at 1:30 p.m.) until Thursday, September 25 (ending at 1 p.m.) at the Cross Roads Retreat Center, in Port Murray, NJ. Just a short 1-hour drive from Bethlehem, this retreat center offers comfortable rooms, delicious meals and a beautiful, rural setting. Sessions include conversation and small group discussion, but there will be plenty of non-structured time as well. The retreat will be co-led by Becky Lepore and Rev. Janel Rice. Cost is $50/person (based on double occupancy, $100 if single room is desired) and includes dinner (Sept. 24), breakfast and lunch (Sept. 25) and accommodations.
