DESCRIPTION:Moravians & Mushrooms – Celebrating the Legacy of Lewis David von Schweinitz \nSunday\, May 22 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gemeinhaus Saal\, Moravian Museum\, 66 W. Church Street\, Bethlehem PA 18018\n\nDr. David Hewitt\, affiliated with the Philadelphia Botanical Club and the Department of Botany at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia\, presents “Lewis David von Schweinitz\, Scientist.” Learn more about Schweinitz\, Moravian pastor\, scientist and artist…and born in the Gemeinhaus!! The commemorative booklet\, Moravians & Mushrooms: Celebrating Lewis David von Schweinitz (1780-1834)\, will be available. After the lecture\, attendees will walk next door to Central Moravian Church for refreshments and to view the exhibit of reproductions of Schweinitz’ remarkable illustrations\, located in the West Hall of the Sanctuary.
