Kids between 2-5 will have their Sunday School time from 9:30-10 a.m.\, followed by free play from 10 -10:50 in the C. E. building. Middle school students are welcome to sing and help the Children’s Choir\, after which they will have their own Sunday School. Adult Sunday School\, led by professor of New Testament Dr. Brigidda Bell\, will also return.\nOne of Central’s most popular programs\, Friday Fun Night (FFN)\, will return this year. From 6-8 p.m. on the third Friday of the month\, parents are invited to drop their kids off at the Christian Education building for a night of games\, food\, music\, and storytime. This year\, FFN will be open to 2 – 5-year-olds. We are excited about the growth and vitality of our Christian Education opportunities and sincerely hope you will join us.

DESCRIPTION:An Old Favorite with a New Name!\nJust across the hall from the Central Putz is the newly redesigned Star and Candle Craft and Bake Shoppe featuring traditional Moravian stars and candles\, as well as a variety of delicious homemade cookies and snacks.\n\nBaker Tom Tenges will offer several varieties of favorite cookies each week\, such as pumpkin snickerdoodles\, pizzelles\, chocolate chip and Martha Washington cookies\, as well as peppermint bark candy. We welcome Becky Lepore as a new crafter this year\, selling lovely hand knit items for everyone\, including adorable baby sweaters and hats. There will be a good selection of matted or framed photography from our resident photographer Linda Wickmann. Paper stars and framed Scherenschnitte type pictures will be available\, as well as two sizes of lighted Moravian stars and gift-boxed Christmas Eve beeswax candles. We are so excited to have the leadership of Dr. Brigidda\nBell\, assistant professor of New Testament at the Moravian Theological seminary. Her focus is on early Christianity and\nits people and ritual practices that animate the texts of the New Testament. \nOur Sunday School will try to share more background on the lectionary passage being shared on Sunday in worship. We\nalso might look at an occasional series on a particular Bible study topic. \nBest news? There is no preparation needed. Come anytime you can\, no need to make a commitment to every Sunday.\nAnd\, we’ll have coffee and an array of hot beverages too!

DESCRIPTION:Change of Worship Schedule for Next Sunday\, October 22\nDue to the impact of the Bethlehem Running Festival on the community\, we will need to change the schedule for worship next Sunday\, October 22\, 2023. The running of the half marathon will cause road closures from 8:05 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. in different areas of the City of Bethlehem. There will be only one worship service that day. It will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Light refreshments will be served following the 1 p.m. worship. Children and youth Sunday School will be held at 12 p.m. in the C. E. building; lunch will be a part of their lesson! We look forward to everyone’s participation as you are able.
