DESCRIPTION:Sunday School Begins for All Ages – Sept. 7 \nWe enjoyed an engaging Sunday School at 10 a.m. with classes for toddlers/Pre-K\, elementary\, and adults last year\, and started a Children’s Choir that met from 9:30 – 10 a.m. as\nthe children were excused from the 9 a.m. Worship before the sermon. Good News! It continues with MORE! \nHere’s what you will find when you come this September! 9 a.m. Old Chapel Worship. This worship service includes a children’s message\, and children’s packets and bulletins.\n(Children’s packets are also available at our 11 a.m. Sanctuary worship – look in the nursery in the West Room or ask a sacristan). Children of all ages\, if parents choose\, are\ndismissed after the children’s message (around 9:30 a.m.) to attend Children’s Choir with our Choir leader\, Linda de Vries and helpers. Parents are always welcome to accompany their\nchild if desired. \n10 a.m.:\nPre-K (ages 2 – Pre-K): 1st floor\, C. E. building classroom. This classroom is filled with age-appropriate Pre-K toys\, and our morning will start with a short lesson or book\, songs or\nsimple craft and end with time to play together. Courtney Weikert\, teacher and Ruth Ferrey\, helper. \nLower Elementary: Lower level\, C. E. building classroom. With wonderful decorations for our younger children starting in kindergarten\, this class will engage using “Holy Moly” curriculum\, featuring animated Bible story retellings and creative activities to follow the themes. Kelly Ahn and Lynne Brolly\, teachers. \nUpper Elementary: Lower level\, C. E. building (former library). Come see our newly designed space for the older children with fun furniture coming soon! DESCRIPTION:Friday Fun Night takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month\, from 6 – 8 p.m. Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade gather in the Christian Education building\, lower\nlevel (40 W. Church Street) for a time of games\, stories\, food\, music\, and crafts. We also welcome children between two and four. Our younger children will have their own free play and story time while joining the older kids for the food and age-appropriate games. All dates include dinners in the Christian Education building at 6 p.m.\, followed by a brief worship and program in the Old Chapel.\n\nFebruary 18\, Ash Wednesday Worship in the Old Chapel. Dinner: Sacristans\n\nFebruary 25\, “Construction and Evolution of the Old Chapel” touching on the construction\, original layout and decor\, and usage of space throughout the years. Dinner: Social Action Committee and Teams  \nMarch 4\, “Famous Visitors in the Old Chapel”. Central’s young people will share anecdotes from famous visitors including Ben Franklin\, Martha Washington\, Lafayette\, etc. Dinner: Moravian Women\, Bible Studies \nMarch 11\, “Indigenous Peoples in the Old Chapel”. This program will explore the 1792 visit by Chiefs and Warriors of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy; and Moravian church’s involvement with indigenous people.\nDinner: Congregational Potluck (sign-ups at earlier dinners) \nMarch 18\, “Moravian Academy – Then and Now” Head of the Moravian Academy downtown campus\, Abby Mahone will join Charlene Donchez Mowers. Dinner: Busy Workers \nMarch 25\, “Music in the Chapel and a Singstunde”. Music through the years\, including organs\, hymns\, musical landmarks and concluding with a Singstunde led by Becky Lepore. DESCRIPTION:Sunday School Begins for All Ages – Sept. 7 \nWe enjoyed an engaging Sunday School at 10 a.m. with classes for toddlers/Pre-K\, elementary\, and adults last year\, and started a Children’s Choir that met from 9:30 – 10 a.m. as\nthe children were excused from the 9 a.m. Worship before the sermon. Good News! It continues with MORE! \nHere’s what you will find when you come this September! 9 a.m. Old Chapel Worship. This worship service includes a children’s message\, and children’s packets and bulletins.\n(Children’s packets are also available at our 11 a.m. Sanctuary worship – look in the nursery in the West Room or ask a sacristan). Children of all ages\, if parents choose\, are\ndismissed after the children’s message (around 9:30 a.m.) to attend Children’s Choir with our Choir leader\, Linda de Vries and helpers. Parents are always welcome to accompany their\nchild if desired. \n10 a.m.:\nPre-K (ages 2 – Pre-K): 1st floor\, C. E. building classroom. This classroom is filled with age-appropriate Pre-K toys\, and our morning will start with a short lesson or book\, songs or\nsimple craft and end with time to play together. Courtney Weikert\, teacher and Ruth Ferrey\, helper. \nLower Elementary: Lower level\, C. E. building classroom. With wonderful decorations for our younger children starting in kindergarten\, this class will engage using “Holy Moly” curriculum\, featuring animated Bible story retellings and creative activities to follow the themes. Kelly Ahn and Lynne Brolly\, teachers. \nUpper Elementary: Lower level\, C. E. building (former library). Come see our newly designed space for the older children with fun furniture coming soon! All dates include dinners in the Christian Education building at 6 p.m.\, followed by a brief worship and program in the Old Chapel.\n\nFebruary 18\, Ash Wednesday Worship in the Old Chapel. Dinner: Sacristans\n\nFebruary 25\, “Construction and Evolution of the Old Chapel” touching on the construction\, original layout and decor\, and usage of space throughout the years. Dinner: Social Action Committee and Teams  \nMarch 4\, “Famous Visitors in the Old Chapel”. Central’s young people will share anecdotes from famous visitors including Ben Franklin\, Martha Washington\, Lafayette\, etc. Dinner: Moravian Women\, Bible Studies \nMarch 11\, “Indigenous Peoples in the Old Chapel”. This program will explore the 1792 visit by Chiefs and Warriors of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy; and Moravian church’s involvement with indigenous people.\nDinner: Congregational Potluck (sign-ups at earlier dinners) \nMarch 18\, “Moravian Academy – Then and Now” Head of the Moravian Academy downtown campus\, Abby Mahone will join Charlene Donchez Mowers. Dinner: Busy Workers \nMarch 25\, “Music in the Chapel and a Singstunde”. Music through the years\, including organs\, hymns\, musical landmarks and concluding with a Singstunde led by Becky Lepore.
