SUMMARY:Birthday Social
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate your birthday at our annual Birthday Social on Sunday\, April 27th after the 11 am service. Everyone is invited to our special birthday celebration in the Christian Education building. We’ll have 12 tables\, one for each month\, and we will be asking for birthday cake donations decorated for the 12 birthday months. Consider a special theme for the month you pick (i.e. February’s cake could be red or have hearts for Valentine’s Day\, etc.). We also need table decorations for every month. The Church Family Life committee will supply sandwiches\, veggies\, and gluten free options to balance out the cake! Look for the cake sign-ups after both church services on Sunday\, April 6 and Sunday\, April 13. See you on Sunday\, April 27 and plan to enjoy the party with lots of birthday cake.

SUMMARY:Lenten Dinner & Program
DESCRIPTION:Mid-Week Lenten Program “Full to the Brim: Envisioning\, Creating\, and Sustaining Community–Living with Abundance in a World of Scarcity” \nFull to the Brim will use beautiful liturgies\, art and poetry from Sanctified Art following the Sunday morning’s lectionary readings. This year’s Lenten Scripture are filled\nwith parables and promises of God’s abundant and expansive grace; Jesus as a mother hen\, a prodigal son welcomed home\, a fig tree nurtured with care and hope\, precious oil poured out\nlovingly and freely\, stones shouting out with praise. Sanctified Art writes about this series\, “We’ve done nothing to deserve or earn this grace\, and yet\, like water\, it spills over.\nFull to the Brim is an invitation — into a radically different Lent\, into a full life. It’s an invitation to be authentically who you are\, to counter scarcity and injustice at every\nturn\, to pour out even more grace wherever it is needed. It disrupts the scarcity mentality that capitalism\, oppression\, or hierarchy can plant inside of us. When we allow ourselves to\nbe filled to the brim with God’s lavish love\, that love spills over into everything we touch. . . .This Lent\, let us trust — fully — that we belong to God. Let us increase our capacity to receive and give grace. Let us discover the expansive life God dreams for us” \nAsh Wednesday & Mid-Week Lenten Dinner & Programs: March 5\, 12\, 19\, 26\, April 2\, April 9 \n6 p.m. Dinner\, 7 p.m. Worship and Program in the Christian Education building\, 40 W. Church St\, lower level \nOur cup is full! Dr. Scott Gordon. Meal: Social Action Committee and its teams \nMarch 26: Singing Together: Hymns of Community and Sacred Connection.  Meal: Choirs of Central \nApril 2: Board of World Mission – New Leadership: Where is BWM leading in our communities and the world?
