DESCRIPTION:Cybersecurity is the way to protect computer networks and systems from service disruption\, information theft and service redirection. The goal is simply to defend and protect servers\, personal and private data\, computers and mobile devices (smartphones\, laptops and tablets) from attack resulting in damage or theft. Cyber threats aren’t just growing; they are evolving at a very rapid rate. In 2024\, there were 3\,205 data breaches reported effecting 353 million victims. Major companies lost billions of customer records. Cybersecurity is essential and cannot be ignored.\nThe Digital Ministry Committee is dedicated to keeping our congregation informed regarding the ever-changing world of technology and will conduct a second annual workshop and update on Sunday\, August 17th in the Christian Education building\, lower level\, after the 10 a.m. worship service.

Moravian archival records\, both North\nand South\, reveal a long-term insider view of the actions and decisions of church leaders\, congregations\, agencies\, and Synods. Some of these have lain dormant\, without public discussion\, for\ndecades or centuries. We’ll explore some of the lowlights and highlights of what Moravians have done––for worse and for better––with respect to slavery\, segregation\, and discrimination.\nThese sometimes sobering\, sometimes inspiring stories offer both a lens and a mirror\, as we look at “them” then and ourselves now. \nRev. Dr. Frank Crouch will be our guest preacher on June 1st and will present his two-part lecture series on Wednesday\, June 4th and Wednesday\, June 11th. \nand their relationship to race and racism. He serves on the Southern Province Moravian Team\nfor Racial\, Cultural\, & Ethnic Reconciliation. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate your birthday at our annual Birthday Social on Sunday\, April 27th after the 11 am service. Everyone is invited to our special birthday celebration in the Christian Education building. We’ll have 12 tables\, one for each month\, and we will be asking for birthday cake donations decorated for the 12 birthday months. Consider a special theme for the month you pick (i.e. February’s cake could be red or have hearts for Valentine’s Day\, etc.). We also need table decorations for every month. The Church Family Life committee will supply sandwiches\, veggies\, and gluten free options to balance out the cake! Look for the cake sign-ups after both church services on Sunday\, April 6 and Sunday\, April 13. See you on Sunday\, April 27 and plan to enjoy the party with lots of birthday cake.

DESCRIPTION:After being dismissed from the 9 a.m. service\, we will have a weekly children’s choir from 9:30 until 10 in the CE building. Kids between the ages of 6-12 are invited to stay for Sunday School from 10-10:50. \nKids between 2-5 will have their Sunday School time from 9:30-10:00\, followed by free play from 10:00 -10:50 in the CE building. \nMiddle school students are welcome to sing and help the Children’s Choir\, after which they will have their own Sunday School.
