SUMMARY:Morning Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:Morning Bible Study is a free-spirited\, discussion-oriented Bible Study group that meets every Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. in the lower level of the Christian Education building and by way of Zoom – with lots of interesting food and coffee or tea. The discussion is led by various members of the group allowing for comments and observations. We gather as a “support group” and offer points of discussion from our individual life experiences. Our meetings conclude each week by 8:30 a.m.

DESCRIPTION:Mid-Week Lenten Dinners and Programs\nWe are excited to share our Mid-Week Lenten Program as we look forward to celebrating the Old Chapel’s 275th anniversary this spring and summer (save the date for a special worship service on July 12 at 10 a.m!) Here’s the line-up\, with thanks to the planning team of Richard Miller\, Chair; Diane Shaw\, Mary Brown\, Charlene Donchez Mowers\, Janel Rice\, and Tom Tenges. All dates include dinners in the Christian Education building at 6 p.m.\, followed by a brief worship and program in the Old Chapel.\n\nFebruary 18\, Ash Wednesday Worship in the Old Chapel. Dinner: Sacristans\n\nFebruary 25\, “Construction and Evolution of the Old Chapel” touching on the construction\, original layout and decor\, and usage of space throughout the years. Dinner: Social Action Committee and Teams  \nMarch 4\, “Famous Visitors in the Old Chapel”. Central’s young people will share anecdotes from famous visitors including Ben Franklin\, Martha Washington\, Lafayette\, etc. Dinner: Moravian Women\, Bible Studies \nMarch 11\, “Indigenous Peoples in the Old Chapel”. This program will explore the 1792 visit by Chiefs and Warriors of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy; and Moravian church’s involvement with indigenous people.\nDinner: Congregational Potluck (sign-ups at earlier dinners) \nMarch 18\, “Moravian Academy – Then and Now” Head of the Moravian Academy downtown campus\, Abby Mahone will join Charlene Donchez Mowers. Dinner: Busy Workers \nMarch 25\, “Music in the Chapel and a Singstunde”. Music through the years\, including organs\, hymns\, musical landmarks and concluding with a Singstunde led by Becky Lepore.
