SUMMARY:Vacation Bible School
DESCRIPTION:Vacation Bible School for Pre-K–5th Grade \nSave the Dates! Vacation Bible School takes place Monday through Friday\, June 23 – 27 from 9 a.m. – 12:00 noon. For ages 3 to 5th grade (completed). The theme will be “True North…Finding our way in world gone wild!” A cooperative ministry of Advent\, Central and East Hills Moravian Churches. Location will be at East Hills Moravian Church\, 1830 Butztown Road\, Bethlehem. \nAlso now offering an optional afternoon program: MAD SCIENCE. This afternoon program is available for children who have attended the morning VBS session. It is an extension of our VBS program. There is a limited enrollment available for this program. First to sign up will be accepted. \n\nAGE: Children must have completed kindergarten & up to completion of 5th grade.\nDATE: Monday through Friday\, 6/23-6/27\nTIME: 1 – 4 p.m. Children will need to bring a lunch and will eat between noon and 1 p.m.\nCOST: $70 per child. Payment must be received to confirm Mad Science registration. Payment can be made by sending a check (with VBS in the memo line) to East Hills Moravian Church\, 1830 Butztown Rd. SUMMARY:Church & Chapel Tours
DESCRIPTION:Guests will be welcomed to visit and learn more about the 1751 Old Chapel\, where George Washington and Benjamin Franklin worshipped and which welcomed local Native Americans as well as German settlers in its early history.   The Chapel is still used for Sunday worship\, memorial services\, weddings and other church events.\n\nThe Church Sanctuary was built from 1803-1806.  Guests will learn more not only about its architectural design\, history of music and worship\, but also the living ministries of Central Moravian Church today.  Unique places like the 2nd floor Kleiner Saal will be included on this tour.   A suggested donation of $5/person.   A gift shop with many unique Moravian items\, as well as books and other gifts will be open.\n\nOutside of our regular hours\, guided tours of the Sanctuary and Old Chapel can also be arranged by contacting the Rev. Josh Follweiler\, Associate Pastor at 610-866-5661 (x.201) A suggested donation of $5/person is requested for these tours.   They can be arranged subject to a tour guide and the church’s availability.
