DESCRIPTION:Join or Die Film\nIn the 90s\, social commentator Robert Putman described the impact and growth of social isolation. In Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community\, Putman documents the decline of organized social events\, including bowling leagues\, the PTA\, clubs\, and churches. This phenomenon marked a significant social change that has only grown in our age of social media and political divisiveness. In his new film\, Join or Die\, Putman and a group of experts\, from the US Surgeon General and sociologists to political figures and Ivy League professors\, explore\nthree questions: What makes our democracy work? Why is it in crisis? And what can we do about it? Central Moravian Church has partnered with ArtsQuest to present a special free screening of this film on Monday\, March 10th\, at 7:00 p.m. in the Alehouse Cinemas. \nJoin or Die will be playing for free at the Alehouse Cinema located at the SteelStacks.  This screening is sponsored by Central Moravian Church through the efforts of its Mental Health Team.
