SUMMARY:Sanctuary & Chapel Tours
DESCRIPTION:Guests will be welcomed to visit and learn more about the 1751 Old Chapel\, where George Washington and Benjamin Franklin worshipped and which welcomed local Native Americans as well as German settlers in its early history.   The Chapel is still used for Sunday worship\, memorial services\, weddings and other church events.\n\nThe Church Sanctuary was built from 1803-1806.  Guests will learn more not only about its architectural design\, history of music and worship\, but also the living ministries of Central Moravian Church today.  Unique places like the 2nd floor Kleiner Saal will be included on this tour.   A suggested donation of $5/person.   A gift shop with many unique Moravian items\, as well as books and other gifts will be open.\n\nOutside of our regular hours\, guided tours of the Sanctuary and Old Chapel can also be arranged by contacting the Rev. Josh Follweiler\,  Associate Pastor at 610-866-5661 (x.201)  A suggested donation of $5/person is requested for these tours.   They can be arranged subject to a tour guide and the church’s availability.

DESCRIPTION:Benefit Dinner for Emergency Shelter \nOn Friday\, October 11th\, come enjoy delicious Korean food and help support the amazing ministry of the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter (BES) starting soon in Bethlehem. Come anytime between 5:30 – 7 p.m. to the Christian Education building\, lower level\, and enjoy the company and delicious food prepared by our own Korean Moravian ministry of Central. The food will be prepared mild\, with the option of adding your own spice. They also will share music and photos from Korea and there will be a chance to also learn more about the Emergency Shelter\, which opens on November 1st in Christ UCC\, and how you can join other Central volunteers! Dinner is $15/person and there are a limited number of seats available. Please email or call the church office to reserve your spot. Please pay at the dinner. \nBethlehem Emergency Sheltering (BES) is a faith-based partnership that provides care and hospitality for the homeless in our community\, last year providing 10\,000 bed nights to an average of 62 guests per night\, with dinner and showers as well.
