Holy Communion and Lovefeast on the Green
Our Celebration of the August 13th renewal for the Moravian Church will be held on Sunday, August 13 with a Holy Communion service at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary, followed by our Lovefeast on the green. Come and celebrate our global church’s renewal from the 18th century to today. As always, we welcome donations of sandwiches and finger-food desserts in sandwich plastic bags. Sign-up sheets are on the Amen Pews.
We hope you can join us for our Central Chautauqua program, “The Birds and the Bees,” on Saturday, August 19 from 10:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. in Nitschmann Hall. Central members, Priscilla and Rett Oren will present a program about birds of the Lehigh Valley. Weather permitting, there will be a brief bird watching clinic. After lunch, Central member, Kelly Knapp and Dr. Gabby Dee, Moravian Academy science teacher, will discuss beekeeping. Presentations are intended to be low-key, folksy, interactive. The day will conclude with some hymns celebrating the goodness of God’s creation.
