Our Community Partners

Central Moravian ChurchWe strive to be a church with open doors and are proud to be partners with many fine non-profits in the Bethlehem area. Through  participation in community events, community musical events, special worship services and many other projects, we seek to share the spiritual experience of Central Church with others in our community.

Check out www.bethlehem.info for information about the city of Bethlehem. Also be sure to visit our wonderful local partnerships below:

The Archives for the Northern Province of the Moravian Church is just up the street from Central! Over 1,000,000 pages written in 18th century German script, large amounts of English-language documents, over 20,000 printed volumes and thousands of pamphlets, paintings, prints, maps, and photographs as well as selected personal papers are contained in the archives. In addition many historical and Moravian paintings are on display.

Our Moravian Church's seminary and Moravian College are also located just up the street from Central. The Seminary offers several theological and counseling degrees, as well as many opportunities for auditors and other lectures. Consult the continuing education link of the Moravian Seminary's website for more information on many interesting lectures and presentations.

We have been proud to share a campus with Moravian Academy since 1742. Our Sanctuary, Old Chapel and Christian Education building provide places of learning and worship for the students at the Moravian Academy Lower School (Kindergarten -- 6th grade).

We are proud to be partners with BAM's housing efforts throughout our area, Moravian Houses I-VII and Moravian Village, a continuing care retirement facility just east of Central's campus.

ArtsQuest is a non-profit organization in Bethlehem dedicated to celebrating the arts and culture in our area. They are responsible for several large events in our area, notably Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt. We are proud to partner with them for Musikfest concerts in the Old Chapel and Church Sanctuary during Musikfest in August.

The Bach Choir is a non-profit organization located just up on Heckewelder Avenue from Central. We celebrate our relationship with the Bach Choir which performed Bach’s Mass in B Minor for the first time in America in Central’s Sanctuary. We are happy to host Bach at Noon in our Sanctuary for the 2nd Tuesday performances that are free and open to the public.
