Central Moravian Youth Spring & Summer 2008 Schedule:
The Senior High Chat Group, run by Pam Larimer, runs the Sunday morning group at 10 a.m. in the comfy basement of the Old Chapel. Come, bring a friend and enjoy our conversations and breakfast food! Middle School youth group includes 6th - 8th graders and gathers monthly (sometimes with the Senior High youth group) for special outings and service opportunities. We also encourage our younger children and youth to join us on our occasional activities planned for the church school! Friends are always welcome! Central Moravian Church Spring/Summer Children & Youth Events
Sunday, April 6: Worship through the spirit-filled music of Moravian College’s Praise Band Doxadzo as they are our special guests at the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday, April 6th.
Saturday, April 12: At 5 p.m. a Praise and Worship Night will be led by our pastoral intern Vani Pradhan and a band in the Old Chapel. A light meal will follow. Everyone is invited!
All middle school – senior high youth are invited to stay for a Game Night following. Bring your favorite game and get ready for some fun, food, and ping pong.
Saturday, April 19: Time for a Pancake Breakfast! Join us anytime between 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, meats, juice, coffee/tea ($6). Sponsored by Pam Larimer and the Youth Group, the proceeds will support the work of the South Bethlehem Neighborhood Center. Youth Group help is needed between 7:30 and 11 a.m.!
Sunday, April 27: Earth Day Worship & Celebration! Come worship with us this Sunday as we remember to love all of God’s creation, our environment! A special Earth Day workshop will be held for all Church School children at the 10 a.m. Church School Hour in the CE bldg. We will ask how much we know about WATER – locally and in our world!
BAM Youth Groups Carnival: Calling all Middle School – Senior High youth! Design and run a carnival for the children of North East Ministries on June 7, 11 – 2 p.m.
Planning meetings will be held on May 4, 18 and June 1 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. (attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory at all!). Our first planning meeting, May 4th, will be at Edgeboro Moravian Church. Talk with Pastor Janel for more information. This is a great project for community service hours!
Saturday, June 7: Mia, Mia Tanzania & Katie Stehly too Benefit Lasagna Dinner for their trip to Sikonge this June. Time 5- 7p.m., CE building.
Saturday, June 14: Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Baseball Game Congregational Outing! All are invited to the ballpark to see the new IronPigs, Phillies AAA affiliate. Meet us at the CE parking lot at 6 p.m. to carpool. Tickets are only $5 and include $2 worth of food/beverages. Please RSVP by May 7 to the church office. All are welcome.
Wed – Fri, June 25-27: Youth Service Days. Middle School and Senior High youth are invited to serve in three different areas of our local community during the 2nd annual Youth Service Days.
Friday, July 18: Knoebel’s Amusement Park Congregational Outing: A bus will take us to Knoebels. 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Leave and return to Central). Everyone is invited. Contact the office ASAP to sign up, spots open to the first 55 people! Cost TBA.
